Piper, the Pipeline Safety Weenie Dog: The Pressure is on! The Mystery of the Tap… Tap.. Tap.
Piper Alpha (Book One)
Farley the Pipeline is GIANT, stretching hundreds of miles under fields and forests. He works silently to deliver main ingredients to the Sunbeam Toy Factory—until one day, something changes. TAP… TAP… TAP. A “tiny trouble” is brewing deep underground, and not even the pilots in the sky can see it.
In the pipeline world, the pressure is on! Even a minor “tap” can lead to a big problem for the environment and the community if not spotted in time.
It’s up to Piper—the pipeline safety weenie dog with super senses—to save the day, but she needs your help!
Join Piper to explore the secret underground world of pipelines in this STEM-inspired adventure. Dig into the mystery with Farley’s superhero safety team of engineers and neighbors and help find the trouble before the toy factory has to shut down!
Piper the Pipeline Safety Weenie Dog helps remind us that safety matters—and that learning about pipelines can help protect lives, the environment, and property.

Inspiring a New Generation of Pipeline Protectors!
By following Piper’s mission to protect Farley the Pipeline, children are introduced to key STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts, including:
- Mechanical Engineering: How pressure and flow move energy across thousands of miles.
- Preventative Maintenance: The importance of monitoring “tiny troubles” before they become big problems.
- Community Safety: Recognizing how 811 (Call Before You Dig) and pipeline markers help prevent harm to people. These safety rules and visuals are in place to keep our neighborhoods, playgrounds, and families safe from accidental damage to underground infrastructure.
- Environmental Stewardship & Innovation: How the Superhero Safety Team uses advanced technology to protect our land and water.
This story encourages young readers to be observant citizens. It teaches them that they don’t have to be “big” to make a difference—they just need to use their senses and know how to report concerns.
